A Passion for Woodworking

After more than 20 years working as an IT professional, Dave Taylor escaped the corporate cube farm and decided to turn his passion—woodworking—into his new career. That was in 1996, and over the past 15 years Dave and his wife Joanne have built Pullouts Plus into a solid business, leaving a long trail of happy customers in their wake.

One Job at a Time

Dave discovered his love for carpentry and started building furniture at the age of 13. Dave is detail-oriented, meticulous and dedicated to quality. He finds great satisfaction in coming up with creative solutions to difficult problems. To give each customer the attention they deserve, Dave only works on one project at a time. But he works quickly and efficiently, and typically projects are scheduled within two weeks of giving an estimate.

All Work and No Play…

Dave’s other passions (besides his wife) include his 2007 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, PickleBall (yes, it is a sport), the vineyard, wine and his two dogs, Mika and Shayne. Every year, Dave and Joanne take a cross-country motorcycle trip averaging about 4,000 miles. They’ve traveled to the Southwest, Montana, Utah, National Parks Tour, British Columbia, Colorado, Idaho and Washington. In 2011, they are planning to tackle the ALCAN (Alaska-Canadian Highway).

Living in Wine Country

Dave and Joanne live on acreage in Willamette Valley wine country, where they have a stunning view of the Coast Range and have planted a small vineyard of their own. The shop is located in Yamhill, but Pullouts Plus serves customers all over Northwest Oregon. Dave and Joanne’s home is their showroom, and potential customers are welcome by appointment to come out to the house to see examples of Dave’s work and enjoy the view (and maybe a glass of wine).
